Here's Johnny

Busy week! I spent three days this week watching the filming of Public Enemies. It was a very cool experience, though at times got kind of boring and way too cold. And yes, I did see Johnny Depp (Christian Bale was not filming here). At one point Johnny went by in a SUV and waved to the fans, but I wasn't fast enough to get that photo. Darn. Yesterday he drove past us in a scene and then the car broke down in front of us. What luck! I started to snap away....

...but realized it was his double. Darn again! I did get a photo of the director, Michael Mann

We were just too far away. I think they will be coming back in April, so maybe I'll try again. From what I heard he was very gracious to the fans here. He's now my first celebrity sighting!

Johnny Depp...how I love to watch him on the screen :). Lucky you to get a glimpse in real life. My only celebrity sightings have been Daniel Day Lewis and Julia Child. Happy weekend to you!

i lived in new york for three years, so i had quite a few celebrity sightings. the one that i was excited about most was keri russell. she sat down at a table next to us in brooklyn, and i turned so red. i am the biggest felicity fan, so i totally geeked out.

The only celebrity sightings I can think of is at concerts (James Taylor), and I walked right past Ingrid Michaelson on the sidewalk before her concert!
No movie stars, though.

Hey there! I'm 1500 miles away in Maine, but Darlington was my HOMETOWN...I have a couple posts on my blog about Johnny and some interesting photos...I'm quite jealous of all you back in WI. My own celebrity sightings? Danny DeVito/Rhea Perlman/Woody Herrelson all while on vacation here in Maine. well, in my teens I was visiting a friend in Milwakee (I'm from Italy) and we got to be in the crowd at a baseball game for Major League (the first one). At the end of a very long night the gorgeous (... he was young then... ok?) Tom Berenger signed autographs and I got to shake his hand and talk to him for a while... in Italian!!! who would have thought he spoke Italian, eh?

I've had a soft spot for him ever since.
